You know that thing you’re believing God for? Be on the watch for “Plan B”s! 👀

What is a Plan B? 🤔

A Plan B is an alternative fallback that is a less-than-God’s-best substitute. It’s a “back-up plan” in case we don’t see the fruit of what we’re believing for. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏾‍♂️

For example:

None except two of the children of Israel entered the Promised Land (God’s best) because they had a “Plan B”. They constantly complained that things were better in Egypt and every one of them perished without ever seeing their Promise (Exodus 14:11, 15:24, 16:2). 🪦

Abraham and Sarah came up with a “Plan B”, and the result was Ishmael, who looked like the promise but was an imitation of the promise, and history will keep record of the raging conflicts that particular Plan B caused. (Genesis 16) ⚔️🧨

🙏🏼We might be fighting the fight of faith for our healing.

🤷🏻‍♂️Plan B might be, “It’s not life-threatening. You can live with this if you have to!” or, “Well, if I don’t get healed at least the doctors will be able to manage my condition.” or, “Maybe if I research/read about/Google this more I’ll find something I can do about it.”

🙏🏼Or we might be believing God for a Godly spouse.

🤷🏽‍♀️Plan B might be, “Just marry that person. At least you won’t be single the rest of your life!” or “I can be single and happy if I need to be!”

🙏🏼Or we might be declaring God’s promises for our finances.

🤷🏼‍♂️Plan B might be, “Take that job/sell that thing/do that deal that you have zero peace about, but at least it’s something!”

The reason Plan Bs never result in God’s best is because when we’re always thinking about and considering an alternative, God calls this being “double-minded”. (James 1:7)👥

We have half our mind on the promises and trusting God, then the other half on what WE can do about it. 😇😰

We’re swerving to the right and the left. (Joshua 1:7, Proverbs 4:27)🔀

We’re trusting the Lord but not with all our hearts, and we’re also leaning on our own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) 😇😰

Friends, God’s promises us that His Word NEVER fails. (Luke 1:37) 📖

That Word-seed you are sowing WILL produce a harvest because the Word is the incorruptible seed (1 Peter 1:23) 🌾

But we have to get rid of any “Plan Bs”! 🚫

We have to set our minds and mouths on our great and precious promises and keep them set on them ONLY. 😇

When a Plan B presents itself, we have to answer that thought and say, “No! I trust the Lord with ALL my heart! Thank you Lord, you are FAITHFUL!” 😇

Refuse to consider any “Plan B”s and watch God bring His “Plan A” for you to pass! 🙌🏼#faithtalks #planA #noplanB
