Ever have trouble sleeping? πŸ˜₯
.
The good news is that God wants you to enjoy sweet sleep, and if we go to His Word, we can find out how to have it! 😴
.
If you have trouble falling asleep, or wake up and can’t go back to sleep, here’s how we can use God’s Word to have it:
.
1. Every day and before bed, speak these promises over yourself:
.
When I lie down, I am not anxious or afraid. When I lie down, my sleep is sweet. The Lord gives me peaceful sleep. (Proverbs 3:24, Psalm 127:2)
.
I cast all my care upon the Lord, for He cares for me. I am in perfect peace; my mind is stayed on the Lord. (1 Peter 5:7, Isaiah 26:3)
.
I am not careful or anxious about anything, my heart is not troubled or afraid. The peace of God which surpasses understanding guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7, John 14:27)
.
Speak these scriptures purposefully every day. When you do, you are sowing the Word-seed for peaceful sleep which WILL bear a harvest. (Mark 4) πŸ“–πŸŒ±
.
2. Pray in tongues.πŸ™πŸΌ
.
This is one of the BEST solutions! πŸ’―
.
When we pray in tongues the Holy Spirit knows exactly what is needed for peaceful sleep, and through us is praying the perfect prayer/perfect solution. (Romans 8:26) πŸ™πŸΌ
.
3. If you don’t pray in tongues, take your favourite scripture (or one of the ones listed above!) and speak it slowly, over and over, meditating on each word as you speak it. πŸ“–
.
Not being able to fall asleep, or waking up in the night and not being able to get back to sleep, is usually the result of tumultuous thoughts and a restless mind. πŸ˜₯
.
The solution is to deliberately and purposefully put our minds on God – on His Word – and the result will be perfect peace. πŸ˜‡ (Isaiah 26:3)
.
Perfect peace = peaceful sleep! 😴
.
4. STOP saying things like, β€œI have insomnia, I never get a full night’s sleep, I can never get back to sleep, I always wake up in the middle of the night…” etc. πŸ™Š
.
God promises that we have what we say (Mark 11:23), so instead of giving life to the problem by talking about it, ONLY SAY WHAT GOD SAYS about you! πŸ“–
.
5. Ask God for wisdom πŸ™πŸΌ

Sometimes there are things we can do/should stop doing in the natural (give up that espresso before bed?! πŸ˜†) to help. God will get that wisdom to us when we ask Him for it! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
.
No matter what’s going on in your life, God wants you to enjoy a good night’s sleep. 😴
.
If Jesus could sleep in the middle a storm, so can you! πŸ™ŒπŸΌΒ
