The world we live in today promotes and endorses people having the right to choose how they want to identify. πŸ‘₯

But do you know that God is actually the one that came up with that idea? πŸ€”πŸ§πŸ€―

In His Word, God shows us exactly who we are in Christ and everything that we have been given by His grace – our TRUE identity. (2 Peter 1:3)

But we still have the right to choose! (Deut 30:19) ↔️

We can either choose to identify as who God says we are, or we can choose to identify with who our circumstances are telling us we are. πŸ‘₯

We can choose to identify as sick or diseased or in pain, or we can choose to identify as healed by the stripes of Jesus. (1 Pet 2:24) πŸ€’πŸ˜Ž

We can choose to identify as anxious, fearful or depressed, or we can choose to identify as having love, power and a sound mind. (2 Tim 1:7)πŸ˜°πŸ˜‡

We can choose to identify as struggling financially and barely getting by, or we can choose to identify as having all sufficiency in all things and all our needs met. (2 Cor 9:8, Phil 4:19)πŸ’ΈπŸ’΅

We can choose to identify as battle-weary, downtrodden, and defeated by the circumstances of life, or we can choose to identify as more than a conqueror and an overcomer because The One who is in us is greater than he who is in the world! (Rom 8:37, 1 John 4:4)😣πŸ’ͺ🏼

We can surround ourselves with people and groups and information that validate and support one identity, or we can surround ourselves with faith-filled people and teachings and scriptures that validate and support our identity in Christ. πŸ˜πŸ“–

How do you want to identifyβ“πŸ€”

The choice is yours! ❀️

P.S. When we’ve chosen how we want to identify, we will ONLY speak, act, and think things that affirm our chosen identity! πŸ₯°
