One of the most important principles of enforcing victory in our lives is the principle of speaking to the mountain. ⛰️

In Mark 11:23 Jesus tells us that, “Whoever will say to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have what he says.”⛰️

And again in Matthew 17:20 Jesus says, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”⛰️

The “mountain” Jesus is referring to simply means any obstacle, hindrance or problem area we may encounter in life.😣

🚫 Notice that Jesus does NOT tell us to pray and ask God to move the mountain.

🚫 He doesn’t tell us to find out if He’s trying to teach us something by putting the mountain in front of us.

🗣️Jesus tells us to SPEAK to it, and it WILL move.

But a question that commonly comes up is; How many times should I speak to the mountain? 🤔

❓Should I speak to it once and then just ignore it, or should I speak to it multiple times?

❓If I speak to it more than once does that mean I’m not in faith?

If we go to the scriptures themselves and dig a little deeper, we will find the answer!🕵🏼‍♀️

Firstly, the word “say” in Mark 11:23 (“say to the mountain”) is the Greek word “epo”, which means “to answer, bring word to, command.”🗣️

Why would we “answer” a mountain? 🤔

Because the mountain is continually speaking to us! ⛰️🗯️

The problem is constantly talking to us, telling us, “I’m still here! I haven’t gone yet! You still have me! The Word’s not working!” 🗯️😖

So, Jesus tells us that every time the mountain “speaks” to us, we are to ANSWER it, bring God’s Word to it with “It is WRITTEN!” and because we believe we receive when we pray (Mark 11:25), we REMIND it that it IS uprooted and cast into the sea, in the name of Jesus! 👉🏼🌊

Now let’s look at Matthew 17:20:

The word “say” in this passage is the Greek word “ereo” which means, “say, speak, or tell” but with the indication that this is speech IN PROGRESS.

In other words, it is ONGOING speaking. 💬

We CONTINUALLY say to the mountain, “You will not hinder me any longer, you ARE removed in Jesus’ name!”👉🏼🌊

And we CONTINUE to speak to it UNTIL IT HAS DONE WHAT WE SAY. ✅

For example, we may be dealing with a health problem. 🤒

We speak to that problem and we say, “Uproot yourself from my body and be cast into the sea, in Jesus’ name!”🗣️⛰️

Then, every time we look at it, feel it, or think about it and it says, “I’m still heeeeeere!”, we ANSWER it and say, “NO. You ARE uprooted and cast into the sea! God’s Word says that by His stripes I WAS healed therefore I AM healed, right now, in Jesus’ name!”🗣️⛰️

And throughout the day, instead of waiting for the problem to “talk” to us, we run at it with the Word, and REMIND it that it has NO PLACE in our body, that it IS uprooted and cast into the sea, and that IT IS WRITTEN.🗣️⛰️

The mountain HAS TO obey YOU, otherwise Jesus wouldn’t have told you to speak to it.🔥#faithtalks
