If You Will Touch Jesus You Will Be Made Whole

Ever wished you could 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬? 🙏🏼

You may have read a scripture such as Matthew 14:36 which says, “As many as touched Him (Jesus) were made whole”… 

And thought, “If only Jesus would come back to earth, then I could touch Him and be made whole too!” 😩

Good news! 

We may not be able to touch Jesus’ physical body, but we can still touch Jesus by touching 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃. (Jn 1:14) 📖

And we can get the same results the people who touched Jesus did by touching The Word! 🥰

But this “touch” isn’t simply a gentle tap.👆🏼

The word “touched” used in Matthew 14 is the Greek word haptomai, which means “to lay hold of, fasten or cling to, to attach oneself to.” (Strong’s)🪢

It gives the picture of fervently taking hold of something known to have immense value, as demonstrated by a woman, weak with pain and blood loss, who crawled on her hands and knees through a trampling crowd to 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐂𝐇 the hem of Jesus’ garment. (Matt 9:20) 🤜🏼

It literally means to “touch someone or something in such a way that it 𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌.” ↩️

And the way we “touch” Jesus is by laying hold of, fastening ourselves to, clinging to, and attaching ourselves to 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃. 📖

We lay hold of the Word with our mouth by finding out what The Word says about us and confessing (agreeing with) it. (Rom 10:8)🗣️

We fasten ourselves to the Word by casting down every thought or suggestion that doesn’t agree with the Word (2 Cor 10:5) 💭🟰📖

We cling to the Word by not being moved by what we see, hear, or feel and refusing to speak the problem. (2 Cor 4:18, Js 1:26)🤐

We attach ourselves to the Word by giving it our full attention, listening to it, speaking it, and meditating on it. (Prov 4:20-22) 😇

And if we will esteem The Word as so valuable and precious that we won’t let anything hinder us from clinging to it constantly – it will 𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐔𝐒. ↩️

↩️ It will alter our bodies from sick to healed.
↩️ It will alter our relationships from broken to whole.
↩️ It will alter our finances from poverty to abundance.
↩️ It will alter our emotions from turmoil to peace.
