The Gospel (the Truth) does one of two things: It either offends people, or it makes people free.
We have all been instructed to preach the Gospel, but it will come at a price. (Mark 16:15)
People will hate us, get offended at us, cut us off, try to censor us, and even lie about and discredit us. (Matthew 5:11)
But God says that when these things happen that we are BLESSED and we should REJOICE and be HAPPY about it! (Matthew 5:12)
Why? Because our reward from God will be GREAT!
Those who try to please and humour the crowd will never be anything more than mediocre and average.
But those who want to do anything significant for the Kingdom of God must be prepared to be provocative and controversial.
Letβs make a decision to be be someone who lives to please God, not man.
Make this an effortless habit with this daily confession:βI am a God-pleaser, not a man-pleaser. I am free from the fear of man. I do not seek praise and approval from men, but everything I do, I do to the glory of God. I am a vessel for honour – set aside as holy, useful to the Master and ready for every good work!β (Galatians 1:10, John 12:43, Colossians 3:17, 2 Timothy 2:21)Letβs be people who boldly speak the truth in love and pray for people to have ears to hear. (Ephesians 4:15, Matthew 11:15)
Itβs WORTH IT for the sake of those who receive the truth that makes them free.
Itβs WORTH IT to have God say of us, βWELL DONE, good and faithful servant.β #faithtalks
