Not Every Way That SEEMS Right, IS Right

How many spirit-filled Christians have made decisions based on the best price, the open door, the golden opportunity, a person’s need, the most logical choice, or what makes the most sense naturally – only for it to turn out to be a disastrous decision?

I have!! 🙋🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😬

Proverbs 14:12 warns us that there is a way that SEEMS right to a man but in the end it leads to death (ruin, destruction). 🧨

And what can SEEM like a perfect opportunity, a logical choice or an open door – something that even SEEMS like it’s from God – can actually lead to ruin and disaster because we didn’t wait to hear from the Holy Spirit FIRST and get clear direction from Him.🚦

As born-again believers, we have the Spirit of God living in us permanently. We have the ability to, and are expected to, hear directly from the Holy Spirit (who knows and sees all things both now and in the future!) and be led by Him at all times. 🕊

God assures us that we – His sheep – DO hear His voice and we DO know Him and we DO follow Him – in fact, we know Him so well that we immediately recognise a stranger’s voice and RUN from it! (John 10:5, 27) 🏃🏼‍♀️

We should never be led by convenience, opportunity, need, ego, price, or logic. 🤔

We, like Jesus, are to always and ONLY be led by the Holy Spirit, who wants to give us direction and wisdom for EVERY decision and EVERY opportunity that presents itself. 🕊

When we are led by the Spirit, we will ALWAYS be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right things, with the right people. ✅

We will make the right choices and decisions the first time, every time. 💯
